Once you request more information from us, either online or in a phone call, we’ll give you a link to our Virtual Brochure. The brochure will provide the initial information you’ll need and what franchise development will require of you (and what you can expect from us!). You’ll also have a Franchise Recruitment Specialist on hand to answer any initial questions you have.

We’ll provide you with an online Confidential Profile to fill out, which provides us with general information about who you are, your qualifications, and your personal financial situation. Our Master Franchisor will reach out to you afterward, asking a few more preliminary questions and determining whether you are qualified. If you’re a good fit for a Team Leader, we schedule an appointment between you and a franchise developer to initiate you into our business model.

After a series of meetings between you and our franchise developer, you’ll learn what we will expect of you and what you can expect from us. We’ll also give you our Franchise Disclosure Document, which lists all the costs, expenses, and average annual sales of owning a Sport Clips store. Our FDD is the key to making an informed decision—many applicants initially don’t understand what owning a franchise will actually mean for them, so the FDD seeks to fill that knowledge gap. As you go through the FDD, we’ll ask you to give us all your questions. Our transparent approach will make sure that you are a solid fit for our team, as well as give you all the answers you need to make a fully-informed and confident decision. The process will also allow us to learn about who you are: your background, experience, goals, and skills. By the end of this stage of the process, we’ll both have a pretty strong idea of whether our franchise is a good fit for you, and vice versa.

After the third stage, our Master Franchisor invites potential Team Leaders to speak with current Team Leaders to get first-hand information about what owning a Sport Clips will require of them. Our team genuinely wants every Team Leader to walk into the process with all the information and confidence they could possibly need. Find out if your personal and professional goals line up with what past Team Leaders have achieved in their own lives.

Like with any great team, Sport Clips recognizes the importance of leadership and guidance. Once you’ve decided that franchising with us is the right choice for you, we’ll invite you to a Discovery Day. Here, you’ll get to meet your Support Team and meet the people you’ll be partnering with in your venture. Most importantly, you’ll meet our Leadership Team, the Head Coaches who lead the direction and culture of Sport Clips Canada. They’ll be available for direct questions and can address your concerns or needs first-hand.

After Discovery Day, our Leadership Team will make final decisions about who they will tap to become Team Leaders. Within 24-48 hours of your visit, you’ll receive notice of if you were chosen to become a Sport Clips franchise owner. If you’re chosen, you’ll be able to move forward with signing franchise agreements. To allow you a final amount of time to think it over, we give each of our potential franchisees a mandatory one-week window to consider their personal and financial commitment.
